Hi, I’m Scott.
Husband. Father. Veteran. Cancer-survivor.
Over Scott’s thirty years of life, he has encountered numerous hardships and countless joys. None greater than when he was told that he had cancer while his wife was five months pregnant with their first child. After a remarkably challenging yet blessed past couple of years, Scott is overjoyed to be cancer-free and back where he is supposed to be, full of love and life. And now, he is determined to fight back against cancer.
A fight against cancer
Now that Scott has been in remission for nearly 18 months, he is honored that The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has nominated him for Visionary of the Year. As a nominee, he created Team What If? and is embarking on an intensive 10-week fundraising campaign.
This campaign begins on March 6th and ends on May 17th. The goal is to raise as much money as possible to support the fight against cancer through LLS’s mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
LLS is an incredible organization. Not only does their track record speak for itself, as three out of every four FDA-approved blood cancer treatments have had support from LLS since 2017, but he can personally attest to this organization's powerful impact as a direct recipient of their services.
The Challenge Weeks
In 2022, Scott embarked on and created The Challenge Year. The goal of which was to inspire, spark ideas, and empower gratitude. Overall, to help encourage others to be the best version of themselves. However, the world had another purpose in mind for him personally with The Challenge Year. It was that same December in which he completed the Challenge Year in which he was diagnosed with cancer.
As part of this 10-week fundraiser, each week, we will be honoring an individual who has been impacted by cancer through our Challenge Weeks. Please consider joining us as we fight back against cancer.
What If?
Looking back throughout the years, Scott sees a life full of good and bad challenges. And with all of them a question has been present: why? He realized the truth is, he will never be able to comprehend the why. However, he recognized he is in complete control of my answer to the question of what if. What if I do something to make a difference in the lives of others?
Please consider joining Scott and taking action on the question of what if.
What if your action today helped prevent someone else from ever asking the question, why?
